Implementing Over-the-Counter (OTC) Devices in Your Practice

Over-the-Counter (OTC) hearing aids have been a buzz topic for the past few years. Audiologists are uniquely situated to not only help consumers navigate the OTC options, but to maximize and profit from the products. This presentation will begin with a brief overview of the proceedings leading up to the passage of the Over-the-Counter Hearing Aid Act of 2017 (and any new information) and then dive into some accessories and individual products that can be sold through a practice/clinic to create an additional revenue stream. User profiles will be highlighted so marketing can be created to attract your ideal consumer/patient. Finally, suggestions for pricing models (not specifics costs) will be reviewed allowing a practice to begin offering products immediately.

  2. Attendees will be able to identify patients who can benefit from over-the-counter (OTC) devices.
